Deceptively Delicious

is it ok to use a blender instead of a food processor?
I am interested in the Deceptively Delicious Cookbook by Jessica Seinfeld, and it calls for a food processor. i dont want to buy one. Can i make do with a blender??
My daughter has that book, and most of the recipes call for purees, which are just fine in a blender…… In fact, they’d be easier to pour out of the blender:)
